The story/picture game...

Most every Sunday Andrew and I have dinner with my sister Brittany, her husband Scot, my brother Dustin, and Scot's brother Mike. My good friend Erin also came this past Sunday and we had chicken curry. Afterwards we played a fun game that Erin suggested; I'm sure many of you have played before. Everyone writes a sentence, passes their paper clockwise and that person draws a picture of their sentence. Then you fold the paper so only your part is showing and pass again. This person then writes a sentence about the previous person's drawing. It continues until the page is filled up or until you get it all the way around the circle. So, I thought some of ours were funny, hope you can read them. It is sort of like the game telephone where the original phrase gets really mixed up by the end. Enjoy!

I finally got Zoey rolling on tape!

Zoey has been rolling over since two weeks. At first it was by accident, but ever since she's been able to do it no problem (stomach to back of course). Here's proof!

Andrew's Birthday (recipe below)

September 7th was Andrew's 25th birthday! He's getting pretty old :/ His mom pointed out that he is a quarter of a century; that makes it sound pretty bad eh? Anyways, we had a small celebration at Nanny and Papa's. Nanny made Andrew's choice of dinner which was homemade pizza (very yummy!). Then she also made a cream cheese, raspberry cake that was delicious. It's in the picture below. I make somewhat of a cake/brownie thing. It was a recipe I found in my crock pot recipe book and it just looked really yummy. I've really been getting into crock pots lately and it's been a success. I'll have to post some of the recipes. Anyways, it's called "Brownie Bottoms" and it reminds me of those yummy melted chocolate desserts they have at restaurants,

i.e Applebees Triple Chocolate Meltdown, yumm! (mine wasn't this pretty)

So, here is the recipe for a yummy, easy, and surprisingly quick dessert (quick for a crock pot)
1/2 c brown sugar
3/4 c water
1 T cocoa powder
2 1/2 c packaged brownie mix
1 package (2.75 oz) instant chocolate pudding mix
1/2 c milk chocolate chip morsels
2 eggs
3 T butter or margarine melted
1/2 c water

Directions:
1. Lightly grease crock pot with non-stick spray. In a small saucepan
combine sugar, 3/4 c water and cocoa powder and bring to a boil.
2. In a small bowl, combine remaining ingredients to form batter.
Spread batter in crock pot and pour boiling mixture evenly over batter.
Cover and cook on HIGH for 1 1/2 hours.
3. Turn off heat and let stand for 30 minutes. Serve warm with
whipped cream, ice cream, or just plain!
The picture is out of order sorry. Just keep scrolling.

Here's little Zoey enjoying her daddy's natural piano skills :)

It was our nephew Chris's birthday the next day so we celebrated his at the same time. He doesn't like smiling for pictures as you can tell.

And here's the yummy brownie bottoms. The middle was the best part because that's where all the boiled mixture seeped to and it was so gooey and yummy!

Zoey Update

Well, I always have the best intentions for my blogs...really interesting, thoughtful, and just fun to read.... I guess they're not living up to their expectations, sorry! I still have a lot of blogs that I've been meaning to write for example, my yummy cornbread made from popcorn kernels, Andrews birthday "brownie bottoms" cake that I made, graduation (did I post that? I'll have to check), Zoeys trip to CA, my birthday, my sister Karlie's birthday, so,so much. Be prepared once my computer uploads pictures properly there will be an overload.

One thing I have to admit...I finally read the first twilight book and, I really liked it. Andrew thinks they have no substance and i guess he's right; I should be spending my reading time on good, gospel books especially since I hardly read at all (That's hopefully changing). But, those books are addicting and very easy to read and I like a good romance story even if there do happen to be vampires. I know I'm one of the latter ones to jump on this bandwagon, but wanted to say that I have finally read it.

So, my baby girl is changing so much, here are some pictures and updates on Zoey since my last posting...

-Zoey started sleeping all through the night at 8 1/2 weeks!

-Zoey no longer cries when I put her down to sleep, if she does it's a whimper for less than 2 minutes. I am so proud of her!

-As of one week ago, Zoey was 23 inches and weighed 9 lbs 1 oz.

-Zoey can stand on her dads hand in the air (I'll post a pic later)

-Zoey talks...a lot! she especially likes to talk to the elephants on her bouncy chair; it's pretty cute.

-Zoey got her two month shots which was sad but she did really well.

-Zoey smiles all the time.

-She is laughing more and more and it's really cute.

-She outgrew her first few outfits.

-She has buff legs, no joke!

-She's working on sitting up and doing pretty good, besides the fact that her head pulls her into a face plant almost every time :)

-She still rolls over.

-She graduated from sitting in an infant tub net to the actual tub seat.

I think that's about all her achievements so far besides being the cutest thing ever. Enjoy the pictures below.

My little cowgirl. This was August 30th. Gymboree is my favorite store.

I took this picture just a couple days ago.
