Two Silly Gooses

The term "silly goose" is used in our home a lot. It probably started with me and now Zoey is always saying things like "Jane, you're a silly goose!" or "mommy, I'm being a silly goose." I find myself taking random snap shots here and there of cute faces, fun moments, etc. but they never fit into the normal event posts that I do. So, I went through and pulled all the cute shots from over the past few months. I love them because they really show off their cute little personalities. Love my girls!

Probably one of the only days in the past few months that I actually got Zoey dressed and hair done. She's cute any way she comes but it is fun to get her all dolled up.

LOVE the squinty eye lol

A couple weeks ago we were all just sick. After days of using toilet paper on our noses, it just wasn't cutting it. One final look at Zoey's bright red, chapped nose told me lotioned tissue was a must! So, I had just brought the stuff in from the store, went to the back room and returned to this....smile and all. Jane had pulled out every single tissue from the brand new box. "silly goose" :)

Two funny things about this picture...1) this is what Andrew thought was the "front" of the shirt...he thought the buttons meant it was the front of a "collar." Gave me a good laugh. 2) Jane's face...it's the face she makes when she sees the camera come out. I think it's so adorable!

Zoey was lookin cute one Sunday plus I had just cut her bangs so we took some pictures. The following are just some funny shots. I think they're fun to look at.

"the face" again. I think she does it in reaction to the flash, or rather in preparation for the flash.

One of my favorite pictures of Nancy Jane :)

No explanation needed...

Being goofy with her bowl.

Can't forget this spaghetti face!

Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day was pretty relaxed in our home this year. We were all getting over being sick so we planned on having our Valentine's date another night. Valentine's morning I made some pancakes and orange juice...not too special but at least out of the ordinary. I dressed the girls up in pink tutus for fun. It didn't last too long but made things a little more fun and festive. The girls got fun packages from my mom that I let them open Valentine's night. Here are some pictures of the girls Valentine's night.

Jane looks bigger than Zoey :) I guess she almost is! Love them!

Some of the treats from Grammy and Grampa

Just a little staged but still cute :)

and again...LOVE her gorgeous eyes!

Here's a little clip of Jane walking on Valentine's day. She has been taking multiple steps for a couple months now but has just taken her sweet time learning that walking really is the way to go. She is now officially walking and it's so fun...lot's of falls and tumbles still but so cute to watch her grow.

Below are some of the other Valentine's events that took place either before or after Valentine's. Somehow through it all Zoey got the impression that Valentine's Day was specific to only her. She would make comments like "Mommy, when it's YOUR Valentine's Day you can have a treat too" or "Mom, when it's my Valentine's Birthday I will get a cake." She's pretty cute, we love her!

-I made Valentine's for Zoey and Jane to give out to friends and family. (see photos below) It involved getting the girls all dressed up in fun pink dresses for a mini photo shoot. It was fun :) They are making fists to create a spot for a sucker to slip through. I could only get Jane to make a fist by giving her something to hold but it worked pretty well. You'll see...

Do you like the feather on her chin :)

The ones of just Zoey turned out so cute but I decided in the end to just go with the one of both girls and save time, money, effort, etc.

-Andrew's cousin Michelle planned a fun family Valentine's party in honor of Andrew's grandmother who used to throw anual Valentine's parties for the grandkids/great-grandkids before she passed away. I made some fun cupcakes for the party complete with chocolate heart toppers. There were lots of yummy treats, cute kids, and good company. (I stole these pictures from Michelle's blog...hope that's ok Michelle!)

Outfits from Grammy's Valentine's package. I especially love how little miss Nancy Jane looks...she sure is a sweetie!

My cupcakes. They were fun and easy to make, double plus. The chocolate hearts were as easy as melting a little piece of chocolate almond bark, pouring it into a ziploc, snipping the corner (just a tad) and squeezing it out onto wax paper in the form of hearts. Very easy and dried quickly.

Those homemade donuts were D-licious!

Cousins (or second cousins...don't really know) Elena and Jack

More cousins, kids, etc.

-Sunday before Valentine's we had some friends from our ward over for a Valentine's dinner. I tried a new recipe of Creamy Butter Lemon Chicken served over angel hair pasta. It was SOSO yummy! You can find the recipe here. Definitely a keeper. I'm thinking of making it again already :) For dessert I made jello cake and topped it with whipped topping and strawberries.....YUM! One of my favorite desserts. Ali also contributed to the dinner with super yummy corn and potatoes and yummy Valentine's sugar cookies.
-Last Saturday Andrew and I got to go on our Valentine's date. We went to see the movie Tron here at a local theatre. Afterwards we went to Idaho Falls to eat at Texas Roadhouse....mmm! Andrew indulged in a delicious steak that he said was one of the best he's ever had and we both got their famous (and rightly so) ribs. YUM! It was a great date.
(sorry no pictures of the last two events)

Hope everyone had a great Valentine's day even if you didn't have a Valentines. It's always a good excuse to eat yummy desserts and candy :)

18 weeks...yikes!

Well, I'm officially 18 weeks along, about 4 months. I felt pretty self absorbed as I spent time editing and uploading pictures of...ME! I have to admit I took many many pictures in attempt to have my belly look as normal and un-fat as I could. Almost every other angle just made me look chubby so I did spend some time taking pictures of myself. Haven't done that in a long time. I didn't feel like getting all made up on top so I stuck with the no-face pictures. Saved a lot of time there lol. I took pretty regular pictures of myself at every stage while I was pregnant with Zoey. With Jane, I didn't really feel up to taking pictures of myself...not sure why, just frowned every time I though of a pregnant picture. I wish now I would have been better because I would like to go back and compare my pregnancies. I think the only pictures I have being pregnant with Jane are from the end. Anyways, enough rambling. I am pretty excited because things are going by quicker than I expected. I find myself forgetting how far along I am and recounting only to find out I'm farther than I thought. That is great. In just two short weeks I will get to find out my baby's gender! I don't think I could ever wait until the end. I'm having a hard enough time not wanting to know right now!

If you want to guess at what you think I'm having please leave a comment! I would love to know what others think. If you're wondering if this pregnancy is different than my others...yes and no haha. Yes, it's different because I'm much bigger than I was with Zoey and Jane. Yes, because if I remember right both Zoey and Jane's heart rate was high in the 160's and this babies heart rate has been in the 140's every time. No, because I still got the same nasty nausea that seems to linger and linger well past 13 weeks. I think it's FINALLY on it's way out so that is great. So make your guesses!

A visit to the past...

24 weeks with Zoey....after going through my pregnant pictures with Zoey this is the closest comparable size I could find to what I am now at 18 weeks...lol I'm not really sad about it, I just think it's really interesting and kind of funny. I am showing about 6 weeks sooner than I was with Zoey.

18 weeks with Jane.
Like I said, I didn't really take pictures with Jane. I guess part of it was because we didn't announce the pregnancy to anyone until almost 20 weeks when we found out the gender. This picture was taken on our vacation to California and obviously just the fact that I could be seen in a swim suit and still keep it a secret meant I was not showing much. OH, and look and mini Zoey. I just LOVE looking back at pictures of her from when she was little (not that she's much bigger :)

Jane's 1st Birthday! Part II

We had a little celebration for Jane with some members of our ward here. It was fun to have a reason to party.

Not too interested in her cupcake but she liked the marshmallow topper.

Zoey and the gang :)

This little boy is ALWAYS smiling so big. Love it.

Getting ready for presents.

Fun cupcakes! My friend and neighbor made a bunch of the ones in the middle which I thought were so darn cute. They remind me of a hibiscus.

Later that night, all birthdayed out but still smiling :)

Can't believe she's ONE!!!

Jane's 1st Birthday! Part I

Jane got to celebrate an early birthday over Christmas in CA. It was really fun to have my family there and watch cute little Nancy Jane open her presents and eat her cake.

Playing with a fun present!

We love this cute little interactive kitchen.

She really liked opening the bags :)

and yaking the tissue paper out :)

My little sister Karlie and I

the end result...we helped her a little lol

Happy Birthday Janey!

Baby #3!

We will be adding another cute little bundle of joy to our family. He/she will be arriving the end of July. The baby is growing healthy and strong and in a few weeks we'll know the gender! I love finding out :) I'm sure everyone is just as nosey as me and wants to know the age difference. Jane and Baby#3 will be exactly as far apart as Zoey and Jane....about 18 1/2 months apart. I'm a little worried and nervous to become a mommy of three but I know we will all adjust and grow in just the right ways. I love that this baby will be coming in July. Zoey was born July 1st and it was so nice to not have to worry about the sicknesses and be able to take my baby out. I think it made for a much healthier Zoey and a less crazy momma. Having Jane in January was tough. I definitely got the winter baby blues. Summers here in ID can't really be classified as horrible and hot. They are actually extremely pleasant and beautiful. It will be a perfect time to welcome this little one into the world. Being pregnant during the summer never worries me here. Maybe if I were back in So. Cal. or somewhere like Vegas or Arizona I would be thinking differently.

My pregnancy so far has been pretty average compared to my last two. Zoey's was by far the worst with horrible nausea that landed me in the hospital more than once. Jane's was more mild than Zoey's although still consisted of many wasted meals (if you know what I mean :) This pregnancy is a lot like Jane's however most of my judgement is based on how many times I throw up lol. It's hard to notice/remember any other symptom when all you feel is nauseous! I am definitely popping out much sooner than with little Janey. With each baby I start showing earlier and earlier but I figure this is pretty normal as the uterus is already stretched and ready to go :) I definitely have a lot LESS energy than I remember with the last two. I'm sure everyone will agree it's because there are two little babies already running around the house! I have to admit that I really don't enjoy being pregnant. I am hoping this goes by as quickly as it did with Jane. I am already anxious to meet him/her!

Oh and I am guessing this is another girl...but would really LOVE a little mister :)
